Velikokrat otroci potrebujejo podporno terapijo z dodanim kisikom. S tem otroku pomagamo in mu lajšamo dihanje.

Title:THE CHILD WITH BRONCHIOLITIS AND APPLICATION OF OXYGEN
Abstract:Bronchiolitis is an acute viral infection of the lungs that leads to inflammation of the smallest air passages of the lungs. Many children need supportive therapy with the addition of oxygen. With this method we help children to relieve their breathing. In our thesis bronchiolitis, application of oxygen, health care and the role of a nurse are presented. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the application of oxygen was correctly applied by nurses and how many children with bronchiolitis need supportive therapy with oxygen. Research Methodology: For the preparation of this thesis the descriptive method was used. The theoretical principles were identified with the analysis of the foreign and domestic literature. In the research part a study was carried out. Data were collected with questionnaires, which were dealt out among nurses in the children’s division of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Febrile Illnesses. Results: The analysis showed that nurses possess enough skills and knowledge to properly apply oxygen to a child and almost half of children who are hospitalized need supportive therapy with oxygen. Conclusion: Bronchiolitis that can usually appear as an acute respiratory distress is one of the most common causes of hospitalization, where a child often needs treatment with oxygen. It is important that a nurse is excellent and one hundred percent sure at her job. Their work is crucial and has significant impact on treatment outcome.
