Title:THE INFLUENCE OF ADDITIONAL PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN KINDERGARTEN ON PUPILS' MOTOR SKILLS IN THE FIRST TRIMESTER
Abstract:The aim of the diploma paper was to find out whether there are differences in motor skills in the results of physical education charts among pupils in the first trimester of primary school who attended an additional hour of physical education already in kindergarten, and pupils who did not. The empirical part of the diploma shows the results obtained through a pedagogical experiment. There were 92 pupils of Primary School Fram , 6 to 8 years of age, included in the research. Based on the purpose we wanted to know whether the differences in motor skills between the two groups are present, whether these differences, if present, diminish with age, and whether the differences between the two groups are present regardless of gender. To determine the differences between the two groups, those who attended additional hours of physical education in kindergarten and those who did not, a t-test was used. The statistical significance was determined at the risk level p≤0.05. The survey results show that significant differences occur only in the group of boys who attended additional hours of physical education in kindergarten, namely in curl-ups in sixty seconds. Other results of the survey indicate that there are no statistically significant differences between pupils who attended an additional hour of physical education in kindergarten and those who did not. We have found that there is no noticeable difference between pupils who attended an additional hour of physical education in kindergarten and those who did not. Nevertheless, it may be assumed that sports activity positively affects the child’s overall development.
