Title:NAPOVED RAVNI PROMETNE VARNOSTI CESTNIH INFRASTRUKTURNIH ELEMENTOV NA PODLAGI SIMULACIJSKIH METOD - PRIMER AC PRIKLJUČKOV

Abstract:Stopnja prometne varnosti na cestnem odseku se določi na podlagi statističnih podatkov prometnih nesreč. Na predvidenih cestnih odsekih statističnih podatkov ni na voljo, zato je potrebno poiskati metodo za napovedi prometne varnosti, ki lahko preventivno pomaga odpraviti pomanjkljivosti cestne infrastrukture. Z razvojem mikrosimulacijskih orodij za simulacije prometnih tokov se odpirajo nove možnosti njihove uporabe. V magistrski nalogi smo analizirali simulacijska orodja, ki se uporabljajo v Sloveniji, kot tudi drugod po Evropi in Svetu, ter preverili možnosti njihove uporabe za potrebe napovedi prometne varnosti. Napoved prometnih nesreč smo preverili na praktičnih primerih najpogostejših avtocestnih priključkov, ki so v uporabi v Sloveniji. Pri analizi smo uporabili dejanske prometne obremenitve. Izdelana je detajlna analiza statističnih podatkov prometnih nesreč za obdobje preteklih pet let. Na podlagi kapacitetne analize in stopnje prometne varnosti smo predlagali alternativne prometne ureditve. Rezultate simulacij prometnih tokov za obstoječe in predvidene ureditve, smo nato analizirali z orodjem za napoved ravni prometne varnosti SSAM (Surrogate Safety Assessment Model). Rezultati pokažejo potencialne prometno varnostne prednosti in slabosti obstoječih, kakor tudi predvidenih cestnih ureditev. Na podlagi analiziranih primerov smo ugotovili, da je možno s simulacijskimi modeli napovedati raven prometne varnosti avtocestnih priključkov. Metoda preveritve, oziroma napovedi prometne varnosti, je lahko zelo koristen pripomoček presojevalcev varnosti cest. Za nadaljnje raziskovalno delo na tem področju predlagamo predvsem izboljšave simulacijskih modelov (npr. simuliranje vpliva bočnih pospeškov) in detajlno validacijo programa SSAM na slovenske razmere.

Title:TRAFFIC SAFETY PREDICTION OF ROAD ELEMENTS USING MICROSIMULATION METHODS - IMPLEMENTATION AT MOTORWAY INTESRECTIONS
Abstract:Level of traffic safety for a traffic facility shall be determined on the basis of statistical data of traffic accidents. On new road development statistical data is not available. It is necessary to find a method for the prediction of traffic safety, that can work as a prevention, before we build the road infrastructure. With the development of micro simulation models designed for traffic simulation, there are new possibilities for their extended use. In the thesis, we analyze the simulation tools used in Slovenia, as well as in the rest of the World. We have focused on the possibility of applying for the prediction of traffic safety. In the thesis we analyzed common motorway intersections in Slovenia with existing traffic volumes. The simulation results were analyzed using the tool for predicting the level of traffic safety; SSAM (Surrogate Safety Assessment Model). We have found that it is possible to predict the level of traffic safety with simulation models on motorway intersections. Method for forecasts of traffic safety can be very useful tool for traffic safety auditors. For further research in this area we suggest improvements in simulation models (eg, simulating the effect of lateral acceleration) and the validation of SSAM on Slovenian conditions.
