Abstract:
V prvem delu opišemo zgradbo in delovanje ožilja, opredelimo bolezni ožilja spodnjih okončin in preiskave arterij in ven.

Title:
NURSING CARE OF PATIENTS WITH LOWER EXTREMITY VEINS SICKNESS
Abstract:
Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death and disability in adults. Cardiovascular diseases is divided into two major groups: the diseases of arteries and veins. The prevention can be made with a healthy lifestyle so that the disease does not develop and that the disease progress is slowed down. The patient must be well informed for their disease, prognosis and course of treatment, before the prognosis or treatment of disease is started. Selection of the method of treatment depends on the clinical picture or the signs and symptoms of the disease. For the final definition an objective investigative methods has to be done. And specially a decision of a invasive or non-invasive treatment is required. This diploma consists of two parts. In the first part we describe the structure and functioning of the lifeblood. We define vascular disease in the lower limbs and a examination of arteries and veins. In the following part of diploma we present the preoperative and postoperative care and the role of nurses in different periods. In the second part, we present the empirical results that we carried out in General Hospital in Celje, Department of Vascular Surgery, May 2013. We find that patients despite good source of information have a lack of knowledge about their disease, because more than half of the patients could not explain the risk factors for the disease and define their disease in their own words. It is also noted that with the lower limb disorders, the most pronounced is pain and that the complications after surgery are rare.
