Abstract:
Diplomska naloga opisuje osnove delovanja PEM gorivne celice, njene karakteristike in prednosti pred motoji z notranjim zgorevanjem. Simulacija gorivne celice, kakršno dandanes najdemo na tržišču, je narejena s programom Matlab, delovanje motorja z notranjim zgorevanjem pa je simulirano v programu Boost. Narejena je primerjava karakteristik moči, navora, izkoristka in specifične porabe goriva pri različnih obremenitvah obeh naprav. Kljub nekaterim pomankljivostim gorivne celice, analiza dobljenih rezultatov kaže na možnost njene uporabe v avtomobilski industriji.

PEM fuel cells
Abstract:
The thesis describes the basic knowledge of PEM fuel cell performance, characteristics and advantages over internal combustion engines. Matlab is used for the simulation realistic fuel cell, which can be found in the market today. Internal combustion engine is simulated using Boost. Comparisons between power, torque, efficiency and specific fuel consumption are observed at different loads of both machines. Despite some disadvantages, the analysis of results shows possibility, that fuel cell can be used in avtomotive industry.
