Abstract:
V diplomskem delu je predstavljen vpliv duktilnosti jekla na varnost jeklenih konstrukcij. V ospredje je postavljena obravnava obnašanja jeklenih konstrukcij v primeru požara in potresa. V diplomskem delu je predstavljena vloga jekla in jeklenih konstrukcij skozi zgodovino, razložen pojem duktilnosti in njegov pomen za jeklo. Ogrodje diplomskega dela sestavlja kratka študija vpliva duktilnosti jekla na stabilnost jeklenih konstrukcij pri visokih temperaturah (požar) in cikličnih obtežbah (potres). Predstavljene so negativne in pozitivne lastnosti duktilnosti jekla, ter osnovne smernice za zagotavljanje stabilnosti objekta.

IMPACT OF STEEL DUCTILITY ON THE SAFETY OF STEEL STRUCTURES
Abstract:
The thesis presents the impact of steel ductility on the safety of steel structures. The focus is set on the behavior of steel structures in case of fire and earthquake. The thesis presents the role of steel and steel structures throughout history. It interprets the concept of ductility and its importance for steel. The base of this thesis consists of a brief study on the impact of ductility on the stability of steel structures at high temperatures (fire) and cyclic loads (earthquake). In the thesis are also described the positive and negative characteristics of steel ductility, as well as basic guidelines to ensure the stability of the structure.
