Abstract:
V diplomskem delu se ukvarjamo s preučevanjem in z razvojem naprednih načinov upravljanja računalniškega namizja. Diplomsko delo predstavlja izdelavo aplikacije, ki nudi nov način interakcije z računalnikom, pri čemer uporablja senzor Microsoft Kinect. Gre za interakcijo, ki je alternativa današnjim standardnim vhodnim napravam. Naša aplikacija preko zajemanja uporabnikovega gibanja in s principi računalniškega vida pretvori vnaprej predpisane uporabnikove gibe v posebej določene funkcije za delo z računalnikom, in sicer v funkcije za delo z računalniškim namizjem, osnovne funkcije za delo z digitalnimi slikami v virtualni galeriji in funkcije za upravljanje virtualne tipkovnice. Aplikacijo smo razvili s pomočjo orodja Visual Studio in v programskem jeziku C#. Končna aplikacija predstavlja nov način interakcije z računalnikom. Na podlagi testiranj smo ugotovili, da aplikacija ustreza predvidenim pogojem in nudi prijazno uporabniško izkušnjo. Prav tako je testiranje pokazalo veliko možnosti za nadgradnje, ki bi še izboljšale delovanje aplikacije in s tem omogočile še boljšo uporabniško izkušnjo.

COMPUTER DESKTOP CONTROL BY USING KINECT SENSOR
Abstract:
The diploma thesis deals with the study and the development of advanced ways of working with computer desktops. The diploma thesis describes the development of an application that offers a new way to interact with computers by using the Microsoft Kinect sensor. This interaction is an alternative to current standard input devices. By capturing the user's movements and based on the principles of computer vision the application converts certain user's movements into specifically determined functions for working with computers. These comprise functions for working with computer desktops, basic functions for working with digital pictures in a virtual gallery and functions for operating a virtual keyboard. The application was developed by using the Visual Studio tools and in the programming language C#. The final application represents a new way to interact with computers. Through testing we have determined that the application meets the anticipated conditions and offers a user-friendly experience. The testing also showed a lot of options for improvements, which would further enhance the application and provide an even more user-friendly experience.
