Abstract:
Sonokemija je raziskovalno področje kemije, pri kateri reakcije potekajo pod vplivom ultrazvoka. Obširno se trenutno uporablja pri pripravi novih materialov z neobičajnimi lastnostmi. Sinteze nanodelcev kovinskih halkogenidov so v zadnjem času dosegle vrhunec na področju raziskovanja in so še vedno pomemben predmet raziskovanja zaradi svojih termoelektričnih, polprevodniških in optičnih lastnosti Namen moje diplomske naloge je izvedba sintez bakrovih sulfidov (CuxSy) s sonokemijsko metodo in analiza produktov. Pri sintezah sem spreminjala različne parametre, kot so vrsta topila, jakost amplitude sonificiranja, množinska razmerja bakra in žvepla, vir bakra in žvepla ter čas sonificiranja. Dobljene vzorce sem analizirala z rentgensko praškovno difrakcijo. Spremljala sem maso produkta, videz produkta, velikost delcev določenih s Scherrerjevo enačbo ter vrsto produkta. Bakrovi sulfidi so zanimivi zaradi svoje sposobnosti tvorbe spojin z različno stehiometrijo in različnimi valenčnimi stanji. Bakrovi sulfidi se uporabljajo za trdne stabilne solarne celice, elektrode in selektivne radiacijske filtre, medtem ko se tanki sloji bakrovih sulfidov uporabljajo kot glavni material v plinskih senzorjih, ki zaznavajo amoniak.

THE INFLUENCE OF REACTION PARAMETERS ON THE SYNTHESES OF COPPER SULFIDES BY SONOCHEMICAL METHOD
Abstract:
Sonochemistry is an investigative area of chemistry, where chemical reactions take place by the impact of ultrasound. Nowadays, sonochemistry is widely used for creating new materials with unusual properties. In particular, syntheses of metal chalcogenides have attracted significant interest and are still under intense investigations due to their special thermoelectric, semiconductive and optic properties. Copper sulfides are a very interesting research area, because copper and sulfur can form a series of binary compounds with different compositions and valence states. Copper sulfides are being used for solid state solar cells, electrodes and selective radiation filters. Thin films of copper sulfides are being used as the main material in ammonia detectors. My diploma work is based on the syntheses of copper sulfides (CuxSy) using the sonochemistry method. Different reaction parameters were systematically changed, like type of solvent, sonication amplitude and time, molar ratio of copper and sulfur, sulfur and copper precursors. The as-obtained products were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction and the particle size was calculated by Scherrer equation. The reaction yield was calculated from the mass of the obtained product.
