Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo predstavili pomen zgodnjega odkrivanja raka na prostati. Opisali smo dejavnike tveganja za nastanek raka na prostati ter bolezenske znake. Opisali smo tudi preiskave, ki se opravljajo v urološki ambulanti in kako se pacienti pripravijo na njih. V empiričnem delu smo predstavili rezultate opravljenega anketnega vprašalnika, ki smo jo izvedli med različno starostno populacijo moškega spola. Podatke smo pridobili s pomočjo anonimnega elektronskega anketnega vprašalnika, kateri je bil zaprtega tipa. Ugotoviti smo želeli, ali so moški seznanjeni z rakom na prostati, ali prepoznajo dejavnike tveganja za nastanek raka prostate in ali moški prepoznajo znake za nastanek bolezni rak prostate. Ugotovili smo, da moški poznajo rak prostate, da ne poznajo dovolj dobro dejavnike tveganja za nastanek bolezni in da slabše prepoznajo znake za nastanek bolezni rak prostate.

Title:IMPORTANCE OF EARLY DETECTION OF PROSTATE CANCER
Abstract:In the graduated paper we present the importance of early detection of prostate cancer. We describe the risk factors and disease symptoms for prostate cancer. We also describe investigations that are proceeded in the urological clinic and how the patient is prepared for the investigations. The empirical part shows the results of research, which was carried out between different ages of male population. Data were collected through an anonymous electronic questionnaire, which contained questions which was closed type. We wanted to determine whether men are familiar with prostate cancer, if men identify risk factors of prostate cancer and whether men determine signs of the prostate cancer. We found out that men know the prostate cancer, are not sufficiently familiar with the risk factors for disease and are inferior to identify the signs of prostate cancer.
