Abstract:

Title:
Dora Screening program and motivation of women for breast self-examination
Abstract:
Breast cancer is the most common malignancy in women and remains one of the first causes of death from cancer. There are many reasons for cancer disease, one of the most important is the fact that the life expectancy is higher and because cancer is disease of older population. Women get cancer in greater extent than in the past. Breast cancer is highly treatable disease only if it is detected at an early stage. Self-examination of breast is the first and the simplest method for early detection of breast cancer and also the most effective weapon that every woman has. The main goal of my research was to determine if women do self-examination, are they do it correct and are women who are employed in health area more diligent in self-examination. We also wanted to found out what does women know about National screening program Dora. The research was conducted through a questionnaire among women who are employed in health and those that are employed in other areas. The results of the research showed that most women do not know the proper self-examination and that there is no significant difference between both groups of women. More than half of the participants are familiar with the program Dora.
