Abstract:
Diplomsko delo prikazuje inženirsko oblikovanje nevrokirurške naprave Microdrive s funkcionalno embalažo. To je orodje, ki se uporablja pri globoko možganskih stimulacijah. V diplomskem delu so zajeti vsi koraki do novega izdelka: od potrebe, analize stanja, raziskave produktov, načrtovanja razvoja in oblike, ergonomije, modeliranja CAD, realističnega vizualiziranja, vse do prototipov po konvencionalnih metodah izdelave in sodobnih hitrih izdelavah prototipov s pomočjo dodajalnih tehnologij 3D tiskanja, po postopku selektivnega laserskega sintranja. Oblikovanje izdelka temelji na čistem dizajnu in premišljeni obliki, ki je povezana s funkcijo izdelka in čim boljšo interakcijo med uporabnikom in izdelkom.

ENGINEERING DESIGN OF NEUROLOGICAL DEVICE MICRODRIVE
Abstract:
The thesis deals with the engineering design of neurosurgical device Microdrive with its functional packaging. It is a tool which is used for deep brain stimulation. All steps of product design are presented in the thesis: product need, analysis, research of products, planning of development and design, ergonomics, CAD modelling, realistic visualisation, prototypes with conventional methods and modern fast prototype modelling with the additive technologies of 3D printing. Designing a product is based on pure design and deliberate form, which is connected with the function of the product and the best user interface possible.
