Abstract:
Diplomska naloga predstavi osnove o koroziji jeklenih konstrukcij, kako nastaja iz različnih perspektiv inženirstva ‒ fizike, kemije in elektrokemije, in kaj pospešuje njen razvoj. V naslednjem poglavju obravnavamo, kako zaščititi konstrukcijo skozi štiri različne metode ‒ s pomočjo dizajna, antikorozijskih barvnih premazov, galvanizacije ter katodne zaščite. Na koncu sledi še konkreten primer analize konstrukcije skozi prizmo antikorozijske zaščite. Predmet primerjanja sta dve antikorozijski zaščiti, ki se najpogosteje uporabljata, galvanizacija in barvni premaz. Na osnovi stroškov, ki smo jih pridobili v analizi, se določi optimalna solucija za predstavljeno konstrukcijo.

Title:
Corrosion and anti-corrosion protection of steel structures
Abstract:
The thesis provides the basics about corrosion of steel structures. It describes different perspectives on genesis of corrosion – engineering, physics, chemistry and electrochemistry perspective, and what promotes its development. Next chapter is about anti-corrosion protection, actually it considers four methods of steel defense. The methods are: chatodic protection, electroplating or galvanization, because I am focused on steel structures, anti-corrosion paint coatings and protection with design solutions. Last section deals with example, which compares two most common ways to protect steel, galvanization and anti-corrosion paint coatings. Based on costs, we choose optimal solution for protection a steel structure from example.
