Abstract:Današnji način življenja in družba, s katero se srečujemo, vodita k čedalje večji potrošnji, posledica tega pa je vse več proizvedenih odpadkov. Zato je še kako pomembno pravilno in dosledno ravnaje z njimi, da se število le-teh zmanjša, koristne snovi iz njih pa se ponovno uporabijo. Med odpadki je vse več tudi nevarnih odpadkov, ki zahtevajo posebno ravnanje in pazljivost. V gospodinjstvu se srečujemo s številnimi nevarnimi odpadki, kot so na primer razna čistila, prazne baterije in akumulatorji, onesnažena embalaža, laki, barve, … Torej se ravnanje s temi odpadki prične že pri nas samih, zato je zelo pomembno, da takšne odpadke ločimo od drugih in jih odložimo na primerno mesto. V diplomskem delu je predstavljena celotna logistika ravnanja z nevarnimi odpadki, in sicer zajema zbiranje, prevoz, skladiščenje pa tudi samo odstranjevanje te vrste odpadkov. S takšnimi odpadki se srečuje tudi komunalno podjetje Kostak d. d., zato je v diplomskem delu analizirano njihovo ravnanje z nevarnimi odpadki. V zaključnem delu pa so navedene morebitne rešitve predstavljene problematike z nevarnimi odpadki.

Title:UPGRADING OF HAZARDOUS WASTE IN THE UTILITIES MANAGEMENT & CIVIL ENGINEERING KOSTAK D.D.
Abstract:Life es we know it and the society leads to an increasing consumption resulting in an increasing waste production. Therefore, it is of great importance of having a responsible and consistent approach towards waste management and recycling in order to reduce amount of waste. There is a rise of hazardous waste which requires specific handling and vigilance. In households we encounter many hazardous wastes such as various detergents, depleted batteries, polluted packaging, paints, varnish,… Therefore, handling with waste begins with every individual and the importance of separating appropriately and accordingly is emphasised. In the thesis the whole logistics of waste reprocessing is presented which incorporates not only collection, transportation and storage of waste but also the process of disposal. This is the system of waste processing the Utilities Management & Civil Engineering Kostak d. d. also encounters. Thus the waste reprocessing analysis, regarding hazardous waste, is explained in the thesis in detail. Some possible solutions of the problem of waste management are also presented in conclusion.
