Abstract:
V diplomskem delu z naslovom Osebnostne značilnosti učitelja nadarjenih učencev sem predstavila lastnosti učitelja, ki dela z nadarjenimi učenci. Z nadarjenimi učenci se učitelji srečujejo vsak dan v šoli. Učitelj ima pomembno vlogo in nalogo pri delu z nadarjenimi. Za učitelja je pomembno, da si pridobi ustrezna znanja, ki omogočijo doživljanje in razumevanje nadarjenih. Pomembno je, da je učitelj pri delu z nadarjenimi kreativen, fleksibilen, dosleden, strokovno izobražen in pripravljen za delo z nadarjenimi. Pri delu z nadarjenimi učenci je potrebno tudi sodelovanje svetovalne službe na šoli in učiteljev, ki delajo z nadarjenimi učenci. Naloga svetovalnih delavcev in učiteljev je, da v otroku odkrijejo in spodbujajo nadarjenost. V empiričnem delu naloge sem predstavila lastnosti učitelja nadarjenih učencev, ki so jih navedli svetovalni delavci. Ocenjujejo, da je zelo pomembno, da je učitelj pri delu z nadarjenimi kreativen, samozavesten, pošten in pravičen, komunikativen in inovativen. Na osnovi raziskave sem predstavila tudi sodelovanje svetovalnih delavcev in učiteljev nadarjenih učencev. Raziskava je pokazala, da svetovalni delavci in učitelji nadarjenih dobro in uspešno sodelujejo. Pri delu uporabljajo različne oblike sodelovanja. Največkrat sodelujejo pri načrtovanju in izvajanju individualiziranih programov za nadarjene ter pri izvajanju obogatitvenih dejavnostih in delavnicah za nadarjene učence, ki potekajo na šoli.

PERSONALITY TRAITS OF A TEACHER OF GIFTED PUPILS
Abstract:
The diploma work entitled Personality traits of a teacher of gifted pupils present characteristics of a teacher who works with gifted pupils. Teachers come across with gifted pupils on a daily basis. The teacher has an important role when working with gifted pupils. It is necessary for teachers of gifted pupils to gain required competences, which will make possible for them to understand gifted pupils and to perceive them in a proper way. Teacher who works with gifted pupils should possess personal qualities such as creativity, flexibility, consistency, professional competence and willingness to work with gifted pupils. Another important factor concerning work with gifted pupils is cooperation between school counselling service and teachers who teach gifted pupils. School counsellors and teachers have to identify gifted children and encourage them by developing their gifts and talents. In empirical part of the diploma work, I have presented the personal characteristics of a teacher of gifted pupils, listed by school counsellors. They believe that a teacher who teaches gifted pupils should be creative, self-confident, honest, fair, communicative and innovative. Based on the research, I have also presented cooperation of school counsellors and teachers of gifted pupils. The research indicated that school counsellors and teachers of gifted pupils collaborate successfully. They use many different forms of cooperation when working with gifted pupils. Most frequently, they cooperate by planning and performing individualised programmes for gifted pupils, and by performing enrichment activities and workshops for gifted pupils, that take place at schools.
