Rezultati so pokazali verjetnost nahajanja koliformnih bakterij. V mikrobiološkem laboratoriju UM FKKT smo preverjali prisotnost mikroorganizmov E. coli, koliformnih bakterij, enterokokov in Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Title:DRINKING WATER QUALITY ASSESSMENT FROM PRIVATE WELL IN MUTA
Abstract:We have studied the quality of drinking water from a private well in Muta. Physico-chemical analysis were performed in the laboratory for water treatment in order to determine the water quality regarding some specific pollutants (as an effect of fertilization). The results of the physico-chemical analysis did not show any elevated values. Some preliminary microbiological analyses of water were made in collaboration with The institute of public health in Ravne na Koroškem. The contents of coliform bacteria and Escherichia coli were tested. The results have shown probability for presence of the coliform bacteria. Further, the presence of the E.coli, coliform bacteria, enterococci, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa was checked in the microbiological laboratory of Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Industries (FKKT). The coliform bacteria and later also enterococci have developed in 24 hours at room temperature. During the dry period in march, we have not noticed any of above mentioned microorganisms in water samples; when the rain started, coliform bacteria and enterococci have exceeded the values of the drinking water regulations in water samples taken. After inspecting the water reservoir we have found that the lid has got a crack through which the drinking water could be polluted with coliform bacteria and enterococci by rain infusion. Restoration and cleaning of the whole reservoir were done, therefore, the water quality must be checked again.
