Title:Skrb za oralno zdravje predšolskih otrok

Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo predstavili ustno votlino, kjer smo zajeli anatomijo, razvoj in zgradbo zobovja. Opisali smo tudi bolezni zob in ustne votline, vrste razvad in njihov vpliv na nepravilnosti v rasti in razvoju zob ter čeljusti. V nadaljevanju smo predstavili skrb za zdravje zob in ustne votline s posebnim poudarkom na vlogi staršev in vzgojiteljev, vlogi zobozdravstvene preventive ter pomembni vlogi medicinske sestre. V empiričnem delu smo predstavili rezultate raziskave, ki je bila opravljena v mesecu marcu 2012 v vrtcu Spodnji Duplek. V raziskavo je bilo vključenih 50 staršev predšolskih otrok, starih med dvema in šestimi leti. Rezultate smo pridobili z anonimnim anketnim vprašalnikom, ki je vseboval 15 vprašanj zaprtega in odprtega tipa. Pri zbiranju podatkov smo uporabili deskriptivno neeksperimentalno metodo raziskovanja. Ugotavljali smo, kako starši skrbijo in navajajo otroka na ustno higieno ter ali se zavedajo, kakšen je vpliv razvad na oralno zdravje njihovih otrok ter v kolikšni meri so te razvade prisotne. Prišli smo do ugotovitve, da starši menijo, da imajo njihovi otroci zdrave zobe, še vedno pa premalo pozornosti posvetijo skrbi za oralno zdravje svojih otrok. Ugotovili smo tudi, da dobra polovica anketiranih staršev pozna vpliv škodljivih razvad ter da je prisotnost teh razvad zelo majhna.

Title:Caring for oral health of preschool children
Abstract:We have presented oral cavity in the diploma thesis where we included anatomy, development, and the structure of teeth. We have also described illnesses of teeth and oral cavity, bad habits and their influence to irregularities in growth, development of teeth and jaw. We have also presented care for dental health and health of oral cavity with the stress on parental and educational role of parents and kindergarten teachers, the role of dental prevention, and an important role of a nurse. We have presented the results of the research in the empirical part, which has been executed in March 2012 in the kindergarten Spodnji Duplek. The research has included 50 parents of the kindergarten children aged between two and six. The results have been gained by an anonymous questionnaire, which included 15 questions of opened and closed type questions. We have used a descriptive non-experimental method of researching. We have established how parents take care and accustom their children to dental hygiene and if they are aware what influence bad habits have on dental health of their children and if these habits are even present. We have found out that the parents think their children have healthy teeth. However, they still do not care enough about the oral health of their children. We have also discovered that more than a half of the asked parents know the influence of bad habits and that these habits are not present a lot.
