Abstract:Diplomsko delo prikazuje trenutno stanje svetlobnega onesnaženja v občinah Ljutomer, Ormož, Središče ob Dravi in Sveti Tomaž. V zadnjem času se odgovorni zavedajo posledic prekomerne osvetlitve, vendar po večini samo z vidika stroškov porabe električne energije, ne toliko z vidika svetlobnega onesnaženja. Zaradi tega zamenjujejo stare svetilke z varčnejšimi, vendar je še vedno veliko na novo postavljenih svetilk, kar pa ne pripomore k zmanjšanju svetlobnega onesnaženja. Posledice se kažejo tako pri živih bitjih, v prometni varnosti, astronomskih opazovanjih in povečani porabi električne energije. Rešitev je več. Pravilna postavitev popolnoma zasenčenih svetilk in ugašanje le-teh takrat – po 23:00 – in tam, kjer ni potrebe ter ozaveščanje širše javnosti o posledicah prekomernega osvetljevanja.

Title:Light pollution in the areas of Ljutomer, Ormož, Središče ob Dravi and Sveti Tomaž municipalities
Abstract:My diploma work deals with the current condition of light pollution in Ljutomer, Ormož, Središče ob Dravi and Sveti Tomaž municipalities. Lately all the responsible ones are aware of the consequences of excessive exposure, but mostly just in terms of electricity consumption costs rather than in terms of light pollution. Therefore they are replacing old lights with more energy-efficient ones, but there are still a lot of new sets of lamps, which does not help to reduce light pollution. The consequences are seen in living beings, in traffic safety, astronomical observations and in the increased consumption of electricity. There are more different possible solutions. Those are: proper installation of completely shielded lamps and switching them off when (after 11pm) and where they are not needed, raising public awareness about consequences of over-illumination.
