Abstract:
V prvem delu so teoretična stališča domače in tuje literature. Anketirali smo 80 nosečnic in 20 zdravnikov ginekologov.

Title:
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY DURING PREGNANCY
Abstract:
The purpose of my diploma paper was to establish if pregnant women are physically active, if so, to what extent, and what are the recommendations of physicians. First part contains domestic and foreign theoretical points of view. It gives an insight into how physical activity influences both the pregnant woman and the child, what the aim of physical activity is and different types of physical activity. It also includes the research which has been conducted so far in Slovenia, Germany and USA in this particular field. The aim of the empirical part was to establish to what extent pregnant women do exercise, what are the recommendations of the physicians and if their points of view coincide. The questionnaire contained both open and closed questions. Eighty pregnant women and twenty gynecologists were interviewed. Pregnant women were asked questions about their pregnancy – from the beginning to the end as well as questions about their previous physical activity routine. Questions intended for physicians mainly referred to their recommendations to pregnant women. Having analyzed the results of the survey, we found out that pregnant women do not do enough physical exercise per day as recommended by physicians. However, they know well which type of exercise is appropriate for them.
