Title:OKOLJSKA VZGOJA V VRTCU VELENJE

Abstract:V diplomski nalogi je predstavljena vloga okoljske vzgoje v Vrtcu Velenje. V prvem delu so zbrana spoznanja s področja okoljske vzgoje in s področja razvoja predšolskih otrok. Predstavljene so različne definicije okoljske vzgoje oziroma vzgoje za trajnostni razvoj, cilji in metode. V drugem delu je predstavljen Vrtec Velenje, ki je z uvajanjem Kurikula za vrtce pričel že leta 1999. V diplomskem delu so našteti vsi projekti s področja okoljske vzgoje, ki so se izvajali od tega leta naprej. Podrobneje sta predstavljena projekta Zeleni nahrbtnik in Varno s soncem, ki ju izvajajo vrtci po vsej Sloveniji, ter projekt Taborjenje ob jezeru in ob vrtcu, ki je posebnost Vrtca Velenje. S podrobnejšim pregledom in primerjavo teh treh projektov smo prišli do zaključka, da je področje okoljske vzgoje v Vrtcu Velenje kakovostno zastopano in načrtovano, da se dejavnosti s tega področja odvijajo v vseh starostnih skupinah in da se prepletajo z ostalimi področji dejavnosti v vrtcu. S primerjavo ciljev, zapisanih v tedenskih pripravah vzgojiteljic, smo potrdili hipotezo, da dejavnosti s področja okoljske vzgoje sledijo ciljem iz Kurikuluma za vrtce. Iz zapisov projektov je tudi razvidno sodelovanje s starši in zunanjim okoljem.

Title:ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AT KINDERGARTEN VELENJE
Abstract:The following diploma dissertation describes the role of environmental education at the Velenje kindergarten. The first part of the dissertation presents the findings in the field of environmental education and the development of pre-school children as well as various definitions of environmental education or education for sustainable development, aims and methods. The second part describes the Velenje kindergarten, which began introducing the curriculum for kindergartens already in 1999. The diploma dissertation lists all the projects from the field of environmental education which have been carried out since that year. It describes in more detail the projects Zeleni nahrbtnik (The green backpack) and Varno s soncem (Safe in the sun), carried out by all kindergartens in Slovenia, and the project Taborjenje ob jezeru in vrtcu (Camping at the lake and at the kindergarten), which is unique to the Velenje kindergarten. A detailed overview and comparison of these three projects have led us to the conclusion that environmental education at the Velenje kindergarten offers high-quality activities and is well-planned, that activities from this field are carried out for children in all age groups and are intertwined with other activities taking place at the kindergarten. By comparing the aims stated in the weekly educational plans of kindergarten teachers we confirmed the hypothesis that the environmental education activities realise the goals set in the curriculum for kindergartens. Project reports also reveal co-operation with parents and external environment.
