Abstract:
Celiakija je imunsko pogojena sistemska bolezen, ki prizadene predvsem začetni del črevesa in nastane kot posledica uživanja glutena pri genetsko predispondiranih osebah. Bolezen prizadene okoli 1 % prebivalstva in ni le bolezen otrok, pojavi v kateri koli starosti. Dieta brez glutena je še vedno edina znana metoda zdravljenja. Diplomsko delo Osveščenost mladostnikov o celiakiji sestavljata teoretični in empirični del. V teoretičnem delu smo opisali bolezen celiakijo, njene pojavne oblike, preiskave v diagnostiki celiakije, celiakija v različnih življenjskih obdobjih, prehrana pri celiakiji, vloga medicinske sestre pri osveščanju mladih o celiakiji ter delovanje Slovenskega društva za celiakijo. V empiričnem delu so prestavljeni rezultati raziskave s katero smo želeli ugotoviti poznavanje bolezni celiakija med mladostniki.

Youth awareness about celiac disease
Abstract:
Celiac disease, also known as genetic gluten intolerance is a very common chronic autoimmune disease affecting mainly the firs part of the intestine that develops when genetically predisposed individuals ingest gluten. It can affect people of any age. Gluten free diet is the only known method of treatment. Dissertation thesis Youth awareness of celiac disease consists of theoretical and empirical work. In the theoretical part wee describe celiac disease and their manifestations, diagnostic tests in celiac disease, celiac disease in different stages of life, diet in celiac disease, the role of nurses in raising awareness of young people about celiac disease and the operation of the Slovenian Society for celiac disease. In the empirical part of dissertation are results of the research in which we wanted to determine knowledge of celiac disease among adolescents in Central Medical School and High School students.
