Title:Predstavitev novega pristopa k načrtovanju zveznega modela za optimalno upravljanje zalog pri stohastičnem povpraševanju

Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava predstavitev in razvoj nekaterih pomembnih optimalnih strategij za upravljanje zalog na primeru realne trgovske organizacije. Izbrane strategije optimalnega upravljanja zalog načrtujemo na osnovi ustreznih matematičnih modelov za primer upravljanja zalog. Problematika se nagiba predvsem k stohastičnemu upravljanju zalog, pri čemer je povpraševanje naključnega značaja, saj problematika zajema realno trgovsko organizacijo. V magistrskem delu se osredotočamo na razvoj novih pristopov k načrtovanju stohastičnega modela pri zveznem pregledovanju stanja zalog, tako imenovanem (Q,s) model, za nekatere izbrane artikle iz asortimana podjetja. Za razvoj stohastičnega (Q,s) modela so še posebej pomembni kronološki podatki hitrosti praznjenja in polnjenja zalog v obravnavanem skladišču. Magistrsko delo se začne s kratkim pregledom obstoječega stanja v podjetju ter opisom osnovnega (Q,s) modela. Omenjeni model je pozneje nadgrajen pri razvoju novega pristopa k načrtovanju stohastičnega modela zveznega pregledovanja stanja zalog. V prvem delu magistrskega dela je predstavljen osnovni klasični pristop modeliranja z uporabo linearne funkcije za aproksimacijo povprečne vrednosti stanja zalog v določenem časovnem intervalu, ki vodi do razvoja klasičnega zveznega (Q,s) modela za optimalno upravljanje zalog. Nato je opisana strategija novega pristopa za načrtovanje modela pri zveznem pregledovanju stanja zalog, ki pa je razvita na nekoliko drugačnih principih od tistih, kot osnovni klasični (Q,s) model. Za povprečno vrednost stanja zalog je namreč uporabljen pristop z aproksimacijo na osnovi eksponentne funkcije, pri čemer smo opazovali in proučevali njeno ukrivljenost in vpliv na stroškovno funkcijo. Razvoj novega pristopa (Q,s) modela je glavni doprinos magistrske naloge. Pri tem smo z modifikacijami pri modeliranju izpeljali stohastični (Q,s) model, ki daje nekoliko boljše rezultate (nižjo stroškovno funkcijo) kot klasični modelarski pristopi v obstoječi literaturi (npr. linearna oblika aproksimacije povprečne vrednosti stanja zalog). Dobljene rezultate na osnovi novega modelarskega pristopa smo primerjali z rezultati osnovnega klasičnega pristopa zveznega (Q,s) modela. Tako smo dobili izračunane optimalne atribute (Q,s) pristopov, in sicer optimalno naročilno količino in optimalno signalno zalogo. Izračunane optimalne atribute smo uporabili v skupni stroškovni funkciji upravljanja zalog, na podlagi katere smo opredelili kvaliteto in kvantiteto dobljenih rezultatov. Z novim pristopom modeliranja (Q,s) modela želimo stroškovno funkcijo glede na klasični model še dodatno zmanjšati, saj je optimizacija upravljanja zalog izredno pomembna v vsakem podjetju.

Title:An introduction of the new approach to the designing of continuous model for the purpose of stochastic inventory control
Abstract:Master's thesis deals with the introduction and development of some important strategies for optimal inventory policies for the case of a given commercial enterprise. Planning a selected optimal inventory polices is based on relevant mathematical models of inventory management. The thesis mainly focuses on stochastic inventory policies, where demand is random in nature, covering issues as a real commercial enterprise. The study is focused on developing new approaches to stochastic model of continuous review inventory system, called (Q,s) model, for specific, selected items. For the developing of stochastic (Q,s) model, it is very important to have a knowledge about the demand rate chronological data, which is associated with the speed of empting of inventory from the warehouse in the observed time period. Master thesis took a brief summary of the existing status in the commercial enterprise, and an overview of the basic linear (Q,s) model, which we later upgrade and used as a basis for developing a new approach of the continuous review stochastic model. The first part of this study is an introduction of the basic inventory level modeling approach using a linear function for an approximation of average value of stocks in observed time period. This leads us to the development of classical continuous (Q,s) model for the optimal inventory policies. The second step is to present a new approach of model development in a continuous review environment. The latter is based on a different approach when compared with a development of a basic (Q,s) model. Namely, in this case, the exponential function has been used for the approximation of average value of inventory level instead of the linear function. Within this framework, the level of nonlinearity of curvature of exponential function has been also observed and how it influences on the value of the total cost function. Development of a new approach to construct (Q,s) model represents the main contribution of this thesis. With certain modifications of a classical (Q,s) model, we want to derive a model, which gives significantly better results (lower cost function) than the classical approaches in existing literature (like a linear approximation of an average value of a inventory level). The results obtained on the basis of a new modeling approach are compared with the results of classical approach of continuous (Q,s) model. As a final result (for selected items) we calculated the optimal attributes (Q,s): an optimal order quantity and an optimal signal stock. The optimal attributes, which have been used in a cost function, can be used to define the quality and quantity of achieved results. As it turns out, the total value of the cost function can be significantly lowered in comparison with classical (Q,s) model, if the new modeling approach is used. This is certainly a success, which should be interested for every responsible enterprise.
