Abstract:
Teoreticna izhodišca: V diplomskem delu je predstavljena kronicna obstruktivna pljucna bolezen, ki postaja vse pogostejši vzrok smrti, z dejavniki tveganja, znaki in zdravljenje, med katere sodi tudi trajno zdravljenje s kisikom na domu. Namen: Pridobiti mnenja bolnikov o znanju za življenje s kronicno obstruktivno pljucno boleznijo in kisikovo terapijo doma, o kakovosti življenja in sposobnostih pri posameznih življenjskih aktivnostih po uvedbi trajnega zdravljenja s kisikom na domu ter o podpori zdravstvene službe pri teh bolnikih. Metode: Pri raziskovalnem delu diplomskega dela smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo. Podatke za raziskovalni del smo zbrali s pomocjo anketnega vprašalnika, ki je vseboval 23 vprašanj. Vkljucenih je bilo 25 bolnikov s trajnim zdravljenjem s kisikom na domu, ki so se med nastajanjem diplomskega dela zdravili v Bolnišnici Topolšica. Rezultati in diskusija: Ugotovili smo, da bolniki dobro obvladajo rokovanje z virom kisika, predvsem koncentratorjem kisika, vendar simptomov oziroma znakov, ki vodijo v poslabšanje bolezni, še ne prepoznajo pravocasno. Po uvedbi trajnega zdravljenja s kisikom na domu anketiranci navajajo izboljšanje pri posameznih temeljnih življenjskih aktivnostih, predvsem pri dihanju, spanju in pocutju nasploh. Vecini se zdi vir kisika previsok financni strošek, prav tako smo ugotovili, da jim zdravstvena služba ne nudi dovolj podpore.

Title:
Quality of life of patients with permanent oxygen therapy at home
Abstract:
Theorety: This diploma work deals with a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which is becoming more and more frequent cause of death with risk factors, symptoms and treatments including a permanent oxygen therapy at home. The purpose: To get the patients' opinion on their knowledge of living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and oxygen therapy at home, the quality of life and capabilities of specific life activities following the permanent oxygen therapy at home and about the support of the health service to these patients. Methods: In the research part of the diploma work a descriptive method was used. The data for the research part were collected by a questionnaire containing 23 questions. The survey included 25 patients with continuous oxygen therapy at home, who were treated at the hospital Topolšica at the time. The results and the discussion: It was discovered that patients master the handling with a source of oxygen, especially oxygen concentrator, but they do not recognize the symptoms and signs, which lead to worsening of the disease, in time. Following the permanent oxygen therapy at home respondents indicate an improvement in basic life activities, especially in breathing, sleeping and in general state of health. Most of them think that a source of oxygen is too expensive.We also found out that their health service does not provide enough support.
