Title:Zdravstvena nega osebe s hudo stopnjo duševne manjrazvitosti

Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo predstavili zdravstveno nego osebe s hudo stopnjo duševne manjrazvitosti. V teoretičnem delu smo opisali vlogo medicinske sestre pri delu z duševno manjrazvito osebo in predstavili aktivnosti in metode dela z duševno manjrazvitimi osebami. Predstavili smo stopnje duševne manjrazvitosti po mednarodni klasifikaciji duševnih motenj. Opisali smo tudi, kako lahko izboljšamo kakovost življenja tem osebam. Predstavili smo pomen komunikacije pri duševno manjrazvitih osebah. Predstavili smo tudi Socialno varstveni zavod Hrastovec. V empiričnem delu smo izvedli študijo primera, ki je potekala meseca avgusta 2010. V njej je bil vključen en stanovalec s hudo duševno manjrazvitostjo iz Socialno varstvenega zavoda Hrastovec. Potrebne podatke smo pridobili z opazovanjem stanovalca, iz negovalne anamneze, pregledom in analizo medicinske dokumentacije. O stanovalčevem stanju smo se tudi pogovarjali s člani negovalnega tima in s svojci. Ko smo pridobili ustrezne podatke, smo na podlagi študije primera izdelali individualni načrt zdravstvene nege in izpostavili aktualne in potencialne negovalne diagnoze. Ugotovili smo najpogostejše negovalne probleme in potrebo po zdravstveni negi. V zaključku obravnave smo ugotovili, da oseba potrebuje pomoč in veliko spodbude pri vseh življenjskih aktivnostih. Potrebuje motivacijo za sodelovanje pri večini življenjskih aktivnostih.

Title:Nursing care of a person with a severe degree of mental retardation
Abstract:In this thesis, we deal with the nursing care of a person with a severe degree of mental retardation. In the theoretical part, we focus on the role of nurses working with mentally retarded persons. Then we present activities and methods of working with them. In addition, we present degrees of mental retardation in accordance with the International Classification of Mental Disorders. We also indicate how to improve the quality of these persons’ lives, thereby emphasising the importance of communication with mentally retarded persons. Finally, we present the Hrastovec Social Care Home. In the empirical part, we deal with the case study done in August 2010. It applies to the Hrastovec Social Care Home resident with severe mental retardation. The necessary data were obtained by observing the resident, from his anamnesis, and by examining and analysing his medical documentation. Regarding the resident’s state of health, we consulted the members of his nursing team and his family members. After obtaining the relevant information, we drew up an individual nursing care plan, thereby highlighting actual and potential nursing diagnosis. We found out the most frequent nursing problems and the need for nursing care. In the end, we ascertained that the Hrastovec resident needs help and much encouragement in all of his life activities. He also needs some motivation for participating in most life activities.
