Abstract:
Diplomska naloga zajema načrtovanje in izgradnjo podatkovnega skladišča za potrebe analiziranja podatkov o cestnem prometu. Predstavljen bo problem ogromne količine podatkov, s katerimi se srečujejo podjetja, kar lahko rešujemo s pomočjo podatkovnih skladišč. Nadalje bomo prikazali faze, različne metode in postopki pri izgradnji podatkovnega skladišča. Osrednji del naloge zajema predstavitev praktične rešitve oziroma izgradnje podatkovnega skladišča na osnovi pridobljenih podatkov z DARS-a o stanjih na slovenskih avtocestah. V zaključku diplomske naloge so navedene težave, s katerimi smo se srečali pri izgradnji podatkovnega skladišča.

Title:
DATA WAREHOUSE SUPPORT FOR ANALYSING TRAFFIC DATA
Abstract:
This undergraduate dissertation describes planning and construction of a data warehouse with the purpose to master huge amounts of data for analysing traffic information. We will present the problem of large amount of data with which companies are faced every day and what can be solved using a data warehouse. Furthermore, we will describe all phases of designing a data warehouse, their purpose and the appropriate methods. In the main part of undergraduate dissertation a practical solution based on Slovenian traffic acquired from DARS will be presented. In conclusion of undergraduate dissertation problems which have arisen during our work will be described.
