Abstract:
Diplomsko delo opisuje potenciometrično določanje N-(2-merkaptopropionil)-glicina z uporabo različnih ionoselektivnih elektrod, njihove odzivne čase, ponovljivost, delovno območje, meje določljivosti in uporabnost v pretočni injekcijski analizi(PIA).

Title:
POTENTIOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF N-(2-MERCAPTOPROPIONYL)-GLYCINE
Abstract:
The study describes potenciometric determination of N-(2-mercaptopropionyl)-glycine (MPG) using different types of electrodes, their response time, their repeatability, working range, detection limit and their use in flow injection analysis (FIA). After the silver electrode was immersed into the solution of mercury (II)chloride, was on the surface gray layer which become slightly brown to brownish red when we immersed electrode into solution of MPG. Working range of Ag/AgMPG electrode is between 1x10-2 mol/L and 1x10-5 mol/L MPG with the slope of 49,0 mV. Sulfide ion-selective electrode was prepared with chemical pretreatment of the silver wire with mercury (II)chloride and solution of Na2S. On the surface thin black layer of silver sulphide was formed. Working range of this electrode is between 1x10-2 mol/L and 1x10-5 mol/L MPG with the slope of 58,2 mV. Silver wire chemically pretreated with mercury (II)chloride and the solution of KI, formed on the surface yellow layer of silver iodide. Working range of the electrode is between 1x10-2 mol/l and 3x10-5 mol/L with the slope of 52,7 mV. Electrodes prepared in such a way can be used in batch and flow injection measurements also for determination of N-(2-mercaptopropionyl)-glycine in real samples.
