Abstract:Namen diplomske naloge je bil raziskati in ugotoviti obsežnost in primernost operativnih ciljev in vsebin, ki zajemajo okoljske teme v učnih načrtih na naravoslovnem področju osnovnošolskega izobraževanja. Merilo in realna primerjava za konkretne rezultate mi je bil kurikul Okoljska vzgoja kot vzgoja in izobraževanje za trajnostni razvoj, ki ima razširjene, dopolnjene in nadgrajene vsebine ciljev in je primeren za vsa medpredmetna področja. Raziskava je pokazala, da je okoljska vzgoja, pri naravoslovnih predmetih v prvem in deloma tudi v drugem triletju osnovnošolskega izobraževanja, bolje integrirana in interdisciplinarno obravnavana, kot v tretjem triletju, ker so v prvih dveh triadah naravoslovna znanja povezana, cilji prve triade pa se nadgrajujejo in konkretizirajo v drugi triadi. V tretji triadi, kjer se naravoslovje razčleni, ni več povezovalnega znanja, okoljska vzgoja pa je predstavljena samo z vidika posamezne stroke. Ugotovitve in rezultati nam jasno prikazujejo, da je obseg znanja okoljske vzgoje po učnih načrtih preskromno, in da ga je nujno treba dopolniti s kurikulom, da se spekter o varovanju okolja in narave razširi in obogati. Da je vsestranskost in kroskurikularnost okoljske vzgoje mogoča tudi v tretjem triletju osnovnošolskega izobraževanja, potrdi projekt (enostavna čistilna naprava) v praktičnem delu diplomske naloge. Namen in predstavitev projektne naloge je združiti različna znanja, ki bi se medpredmetno povezovala in dopolnjevala z okoljsko vzgojo. Za izdelavo enostavne čistilne naprave, je torej potrebno tehnično znanje, proces čiščenja vode pa zahteva kemijsko in biološko znanje, učenci pa bi bili zato bolje ekološko osveščeni na področju čiščenja vod.

Title:ENVIRONMENT AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS
Abstract:The main aim of the diploma paper is to research and to ascertain the extensiveness and suitability of the operational objectives and contents, which encompass environmental issues in primary school natural science syllabuses. The criterion and real comparison for the solid results was the curriculum of Environmental education as the education and training for sustainable development, that has broadened, supplemented and upgraded goal contents and is suitable for all interdisciplinary issues. The research has shown that the first and partially also the second triad of the primary school education integrate environmental education in the natural science subjects better than the third triad. The reason is that the natural knowledge in the first two triads is connected; aims of the first triad are later upgraded and concretized in the second triad. Natural science gets dismembered in the third triad and there is also no more interdisciplinary knowledge. Environmental education at that point is presented only from the viewing point of individual branch or subject. Findings and results clearly show that the extent of the environmental knowledge is too modest and narrow and should be urgently supplemented with curriculum, which will broaden and enrich the spectrum of knowledge about environment preservation and nature. The proof that the versatility and connectedness between environment education curriculums is possible also in the third triad of the primary education is shown in the practical part of the diploma paper through the simple purification facility project. The purpose of the project is to combine different knowledge and skills that would complement and connect with environmental education. The fabrication of a simple purification facility depends on satisfactory technical skills while the process of water purification demands suitable chemical and biological knowledge. My final goal of this project is better ecologically educated students in the field of water purification.
