Abstract:V prvem delu diplomske naloge sem opravila univariatno statistično analizo na devetih lobanjskih znakih pri hišnih miših, Mus musculus. Analiza je zajela 118 osebkov. Opisala in ovrednotila sem spolno in geografsko variabilnost lobanje.

Title:Geographical variability of skull of House Mouse, Mus Musculus Linnaeus,1758 (Rodentia,Mammalia)
Abstract:In the first part of the composition an invariant statistical analysis was carried out on nine skull marks from house mice, Mus musculus. The analysis took into account 118 subjects. I described and valued the sex and geographical variability of the skull. By F – tests were checked for secondary sexual dimorphism, where 14 subjects from geographical samples were taken into account. The results showed that there were no differences between the sexes and that is why I continued to include both sexes combined in one sample. In the second part a multivariate analysis was carried out on nine skull marks to 14 geographical samples of house mice, Mus musculus. The possibility of a greater differentiation between the group of samples from various geographical areas were tested with a discriminatory analysis. The relations between samples from different geographic locations were represented in a dendrogram. The basic results, obtained with the use of different multivariate methods show a strong overlapping of the morfometrical space. The samples with the "out of average" value, were those, with their origin in the salt pants of Sečovlje and Krkavče village (Slovenian Istria).
