Title:STALIŠČA RAZREDNIH UČITELJEV O JEZIKOVNI KOPELI NA RAZREDNI STOPNJI OŠ

Abstract:V diplomski nalogi Stališča razrednih učiteljev o jezikovni kopeli v osnovni šoli sem se v teoretičnem delu osredotočila na najnovejše smernice Evropske unije za učenje tujih jezikov na razredni stopnji osnovne šole. Le-te so zelo pomembne za uvajanje novosti v osnovne šole na področju poučevanja tujih jezikov. V nadaljevanju govorim tudi o večjezičnosti in pridobivanju medkulturne kompetence, saj je oboje izjemnega pomena, ko govorimo o jezikovni kopeli. Ker je danes vedno bolj pomembno uvajanje tujega jezika v zgodnjem obdobju otrokovega razvoja, sem tudi tej temi posvetila posebno poglavje in predstavila, kakšno je poučevanje tujih jezikov v osnovni šoli. V nadaljevanju teoretičnega dela predstavljam zgodovino jezikovne kopeli in njene prednosti. Prav tako pa lahko bralec v moji diplomski nalogi najde razširjenost jezikovne kopeli v svetu, Evropi in v Sloveniji. Ker sem nekaj ur pouka v jezikovni kopeli izvedla tudi sama, v praktičnem delu diplomske naloge opisujem potek in uspešnost takega načina poučevanja tujega jezika. V zadnjem, empiričnem, delu diplomske naloge sem grafično prikazala rezultate študije primera o stališčih razrednih učiteljev o jezikovni kopeli v osnovni šoli, ki sem jo izvedla pri učiteljih, ki se z jezikovno kopeljo vsakodnevno srečujejo, in pri učiteljih, ki jezikovno kopel zelo slabo ali pa sploh ne poznajo.

Title:ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER'S OPINION OF CONTENT AND LANGUAGE INTEGRATED LEARNING IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Abstract:The theoretical part of this diploma thesis focuses on the latest European Union guidelines about learning of foreign languages in the first cycle of primary schools. These guidelines are very important for the introduction of foreign languages learning and teaching in the first cycle of Slovenian primary schools. The thesis also deals with multilingualism and the acquisition of intercultural competence because they are both essentially important for introducing CLIL to primary schools. Nowadays, it is very important to introduce a foreign language in the early period of child development. I present this theme (topic) in another chapter, where I also introduce foreign language teaching in primary schools. Furthermore, the thesis describes the history of CLIL, its advantages and possible deficiencies. The reader can also find information about the prevalence of CLIL in the world, in Europe and in Slovenia. I carried out some lessons using the CLIL method, so the practical part of this diploma thesis describes the progress and effectiveness of this kind of teaching and learning. In the last, empirical part of my diploma thesis I present and interpret the results of the case study about elementary school teachers’ opinions of CLIL in primary schools. The survey was done with elementary school teachers who use CLIL daily and teachers who know CLIL badly or have never heard about it.
