Abstract:

Title:
APPLICATION AND CONTROL OF THE LUBRICANTS
Abstract:
Metalworking fluids (MWF) used in metal industry are composed of oil, water and additives and are able to provide the lubrication, cooling, corrosion inhibition and chip flushing. The legislation obliges users to keep MWF in faultless condition due to labour and environmental protection. The following technical criteria have an important role on MWF selection: environmental protection, raw materials availability, working hygiene, users safety requirements and cost minimization. The purpose of this diploma work is to establish the MWF management system, which would include regular monitoring with intention to reduce the consumption, improve effectiveness of the working process, minimize maintenance and waste costs. The first operating step needed to maintain MWF was to establish MWF management system in one department of “Strojna oprema” Plant of the factory Unior Zreče. On the basis of results achieved we can conclude, that monitoring of MWF prolonged their lifetime. We can summarize that established MWF management system resulted in ecological and economical efficiencies. Therefore, such system should be established in all factory plants.
