Abstract:V tem diplomskem delu je raziskovan postopek razvoja nove aluminijeve zlitine, v katerih nastanejo kvazikristali. V uvodnem delu je navedena teorija o aluminijevih zlitinah, kvazikristalih, mehanskih lastnostih, ki je potrebna za lažje razumevanje te snovi. V nadaljevanju so opisani postopki, ki smo jih opravili pri eksperimentalnem delu, kar predstavlja tudi jedro diplomske naloge. Pri eksperimentalnem delu so bile opravljene različne preiskave. Ukvarjali smo se predvsem z litjem, svetlobno in elektronsko mikroskopijo, merjenjem trdote in toplotno obdelavo. Z rezultati preiskav smo dobili nove informacije, kako izboljšati proces izdelave zlitine in kako izboljšati lastnosti same zlitine. S stroškovno analizo razvoja aluminijeve zlitine Al91Mn3Be3Cu3, smo dobili oceno stroškov, ki nastanejo pri preiskavi, razvoju in morebitni izdelavi le te. Kar predstavlja dobro osnovo za oceno ekonomičnosti razvoja posamezne zlitine

Title:CHARACTERIZATION OF AI-CASTING ALLOY AND ANALYSIS OF PRODUCTION COSTS
Abstract:In this diploma work I observed the development procedure of new aluminium alloy, forming quasi- crystalline phase. Initial part consists of the theory about aluminium alloys, quasi-crystalline phase, mechanical properties, which is necessary for better understanding this work. The following then describes the procedures made in the experimental part of my work, which represents the core of the diploma. Various investigations were made in the experimental part of the work. We dealt primarily with the casting, light and electron microscopy, measuring the hardness and heat treatment. With the results of our investigation we acquired new information on how to improve the manufacturing process and how to improve the alloy properties. With the cost analysis for developing aluminum alloy Al91Mn3Be3Cu3, we got an estimated price which can occur in the investigation, development and possible production. This represents a good basis for assessing the economy development of the individual alloys.
