Abstract:
V Univerzitetnem kmetijskem centru Pohorski dvor Fakultete za kmetijstvo in biosistemske vede v Mariboru smo preučevali sorte jagod Marmolada, Maya, Raurica, Darselect in Queen Elisa. Zamrznjene sadike smo posadili julija 2004 na grebene, pokrite s črno folijo, v razdalji 25 x 25 cm. Spomladi 2005 smo nasad pokrili s plastenjaki. Nasad smo po potrebi namakali s kapljičnim namakalnim sistemom. V prvem letu obiranja smo spremljali količino in kakovost pridelka ter čas zorenja jagod. Iz rezultatov je razvidno, da je imela sorta Maya največje število plodov, ki so dosegli največjo povprečno maso ploda, in tako tudi največji pridelek. Sorta Darselect je imela najmanjše število plodov, ki so imeli najmanjšo povprečno maso, in tako tudi najmanjši pridelek. Zorenje plodov je bilo najzgodnejše pri sorti Queen Elisa, najkasnejše pa pri sorti Raurica. Pri vseh sortah smo zabeležili zelo malo plodov slabše kakovosti.

Pomological evaluation of five varieties of strawberries
Abstract:
In 2005 at the Maribor University Agricultural Centre »Pohorski dvor« we investigated Marmolada, Maya, Raurica, Darselect and Queen Elisa cultivars of strawberries Frozen seedlings were planted at 25 x 25 cm distance in July 2004 on raised beds covered with black plastic mulch. In spring 2005 the plantation was covered with large plastic tunnels and, when necessary, irrigated by means of a drip irrigation system. In the first harvesting year we observed quantity and quality of yield and the time of strawbery maturation. The results show that cv. Maya had the highest number of fruits that achieved the highest average fruit weight and, consequently, the highest yield; cv. Darselect yielded the lowest number of fruits, which also achieved the lowest average weight resulting in the lowest yield. Fruits of cv. Queen Elisa were the earliest to ripen, whereas the fruits of cv. Raurica ripened last. Very few fruits of inferior quality were found in all cultivars.
