Abstract:
Sladkorna bolezen sodi med najbolj razširjene kronično nenalezljive bolezni. Število bolnikov s sladkorno boleznijo hitro narašča. Dokazano je, da lahko osveščenost prebivalstva bistveno vpliva na preprečevanje tako naglega širjenja sladkorne bolezni. Zdravstvena vzgoja bolnikov s sladkorno boleznijo je zelo pomembna, saj samo dobro poučeni bolniki lahko primerno urejajo višino krvnega sladkorja in s tem preprečijo marsikateri zaplet sladkorne bolezni. Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnem delu je predstavljena klasifikacija in etiologija sladkorne bolezni, njena klinična slika ter diagnoza, opisani so tudi akutni in kronični zapleti sladkorne bolezni. V empiričnem delu pa so predstavljeni rezultati ankete, opravljene med petdesetimi sladkornimi bolniki, ki obiskujejo ambulanto za diabetike v Zdravstvenem domu Koper. Ugotavljali smo njihovo poznavanje kroničnih in akutnih zapletov sladkorne bolezni in preprečevanje le - teh. Rezultati ankete so pokazali, da sladkorni bolniki kljub zavedanju resnosti sladkorne bolezni posvečajo premalo pozornosti kroničnim zapletom in preprečevanju le — teh. Bolniki s sladkorno boleznijo poznajo načela zdrave prehrane in zdravega načina življenja vendar vse svoje znanje težko vključujejo v svoje življenje, kar kaže na to, da je večina sladkornih bolnikov debelih.

Diabetics informations about complications of diabetes
Abstract:
Diabetes is one of the most widespread chronic non – contagious diseases. The number of patients with diabetes in increasing rapidly. It is a proven fact that awarneness of the population may be significant impact on the prevention by the rapid spread of diabetes. Health education of patients with diabetes is very important, because only well – educated patients may be appropriate regulatig the amount of blood sugar and thus prevent many complications of diabetes. Diploma is made up of theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part is presented the definition, classification and etiology of diabetes, its clinical picture and diagnosis, acute and chronic complications are also described. The empirical part consist the results of a survey conducted among fifty diabetics who attend the clinic for diabetics in Zdravstveni dom Koper. We have estabilished their knowledge to the prevention of complications of diabetes. Results showed that diabetics, despite the awareness of the seriouness of diabetes pay to little attention to chronic complications and prevention of them. Patiens with diabetes are familiar with the principles of a healthy diet and healthy life, but they found it difficult to include it in their lives, which indicates that the majority of obese diabetics patients.
