S praktično raziskavo smo želeli ugotoviti, kako na učenčevo likovno izražanje in ustvarjalnost vplivata doživljanje izven učilnice in medpredmetno povezovanje vsebin.

Title:KOPER: THE ART GUIDEBOOK FOR CHILDREN
Abstract:The theme of this diploma paper relates to the supplement named ‘Koper: The Art Guide-Book for Children’, with a Handbook for Teachers. This Art Guide-book aims to motivate primary school pupils (from 3rd to 5th grade) and teachers to adopt a different approach to Fine Arts, History of Art and Culture at school, involving both the presentation and assimilation of knowledge and skills. The purpose and goal of my diploma paper is to stimulate the creativity in children and bring the culture of Koper to them in an appropriate way, through their own paintings and expression. In our practical survey we aimed to explore how the out-of-school experience and intra-curricular correlations influence the pupils’ expression of fine arts and creativity. We were also interested in finding whether the pupils’ motivation did actually improve during the classes of Fine Arts following the visit to the City, and whether the entire contents of the Art Guide-Book (including the painting assignments therein) suit the children’s psycho-motoric capabilities and the profile of third grade pupils. The first part of the paper presents the theoretical groundwork featuring the pupils’ creative activity. The second part introduces the findings and analysis of the (3rd grade) pupils’ creative work which sprang up both during the field work and in classes. The results reveal that pupils have been much more motivated in their regular lessons of fine arts and therefore more creative in their expression of art, which is attributable to the new approach in teaching and knowledge assimilation: that fulfils the goal, or purpose, of the survey.
