Abstract:V magistrskem delu smo raziskovali poučevanje otrok z motnjami avtističnega spektra. Vse učiteljice vsakodnevno uporabljajo številne didaktične pripomočke in opremo.

Title:Teaching children with autism spectrum disorder
Abstract:The master's thesis presents the research we conducted on children with autism spectrum disorder. The theoretical part presents the autism spectrum disorder itself, together with associated disorders, deficiencies in the first three-year educational cycle, sensory perception of children with autism spectrum disorder and the methods of work with pupils suffering from autism spectrum disorder. Furthermore, we presented the legislative acts and Guidelines for working with pupils with autism (2019). The empirical part of the thesis presents the research Teaching children with autism spectrum disorder in adapted educational programme with an equal educational standard (in the first three-year educational cycle of primary school). We concluded that the teachers involved in the research followed Guidelines for working with pupils with autism in their daily work. Their level of education is Bachelor of Arts Class Teacher. One of the teachers holds a master's degree in inclusive pedagogics, while the other three teachers completed a course of special pedagogical training for working with a particular group of children with special needs. The teachers use various approaches to adapt the learning environment for pupils, according to their oversensitivity. Two teachers mention collaboration with parents as key element of teaching. For three teachers, giving short and clear instructions is a crucial form of adaptation related to the effective time management in organising the educational process. Two teachers identify the importance of regular knowledge check and assessment, while two teachers emphasised the assessment of a smaller amount of subject matter. All the teachers daily use numerous didactic aids and equipment.
