Title:Povezava predporodnega izobraževanja v sklopu materinskih šol s kakovostjo življenja po porodu pred in med epidemijo covid-19

Abstract:Nosečnost in porod ključno vplivata na kakovost življenja matere. V Sloveniji je predporodno izobraževanje v sklopu materinskih šol glavno izobraževalno orodje za pripravo bodoče mamice na novo vlogo. Namen naše raziskave je bil oceniti povezavo med trajanjem predporodnega izobraževanja v sklopu materinskih šol in kakovostjo življenja mater po porodu. Uporabljen je bil predhodno validiran, v slovenski jezik preveden in testiran vprašalnik o kakovosti življenja po porodu (lestvica zaznane kakovosti življenja – PQOL). Na podlagi spletne ankete so bili zbrani podatki za dve skupini žensk. Prva skupina (N=1091) je rodila pred epidemijo COVID-19, druga (N=1163) pa med pandemijo COVID-19. Razlike so bile analizirane z uporabo Mann-Whitneyjevega U testa. Izračunani so bili linearni regresijski in korelacijski koeficienti za povezavo med kakovostjo življenja in trajanjem predporodega izobraževanja v sklopu materinskih šol. Naša raziskava je pokazala, da je krajše časovno trajanje izobraževanja v sklopu materinskih šol poslabšalo kakovosti življenja po porodu med epidemijo COVID-19. Pokazali smo tudi, da je časovno daljše predporodnega izobraževanje v sklopu materinskih šol povezano z višjo kakovostjo življenja. Kljub večfaktorskemu vplivu epidemije COVID-19 smo na vzorcu slovenskih mater opredelili korelacijo med trajanjem predporodnega izobraževanja v sklopu materinskih šol in kakovostjo življenja po porodu. Trajanje predporodnega izobraževanja v sklopu materinskih šol je pomemben dejavnik, ki vpliva na kakovost življenja po porodu.

Title:Association of maternal antenatal education with quality of life after childbirth in the slovenian population befor and during the covid-19 pandemic
Abstract:Pregnancy and childbirth have a crucial impact on mothers'' quality of life. In Slovenia, antenatal classes are the main educational tool to prepare expectant mothers for their new role. The aim of our study was to assess the relationship between the duration of antenatal classes and mothers' quality of life after childbirth. A self-administered, previously validated and tested questionnaire on the quality of life after childbirth on Slovenian women was used. Based on an online survey, data for two groups of mothers were collected. The first group (N=1091) had given birth before and the second (N=1163) during the COVID -19 pandemic. Group differences were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test. Linear regression and correlation coefficients were calculated for the association between quality of life and duration of antenatal classes. Our study showed a significant decrease in the duration of antenatal classes and a decrease in quality of life after delivery during the COVID -19. We also showed that more antenatal education was associated with higher quality of life. Despite the multifactorial influence during the COVID -19 pandemic we defined the correlation between the duration of antenatal classes and postpartum quality of life in a sample of Slovenian mothers. The duration of the antenatal classes is an important factor influencing the quality of life after childbirth.
