V drugem delu diplomskega dela, in sicer v empiričnem, smo naredili raziskavo, kako so urejeni etični kodeksi v podjetjih, kakšna je stopnja diskriminacije in v kakšnih oblikah jo zaposleni občutijo.

Title:Discrimination in the workplace
Abstract:In today's culture, we are confronted with issues that prompt us to reflect on the values of equality, tolerance and ethical behaviour in the workplace. Discrimination in the workplace is still a serious problem that affects many people's lives. Discrimination on the grounds of gender, ethnicity, age, disability or other personal characteristics has a profound impact on an individual's self-esteem and future. Unfortunately, we still face unfair treatment and unequal opportunities in the workplace, which is supposed to be a place of productive cooperation and progress. In this thesis, we have presented the importance of ethics and a code of ethics, which are key to preventing discrimination in the workplace. We analysed how well codes of ethics, which are meant to serve as a guide for ethical and moral behaviour in organisations, work and how well they address the issue of discrimination. Ethical issues are unavoidable for most modern managers, whether it is a question of fair pay and working conditions, sexual harassment in the workplace, or simply the use of business resources for personal gain. We have described the personal circumstances on the basis of which an individual may be discriminated against, the types of discrimination that occur in the organisational environment and the consequences for employees. In the second part of the thesis, namely the empirical part, we conducted a survey of how ethical codes are regulated in companies, what the level of discrimination is, and in what forms employees perceive it. Of the five hypotheses, two were confirmed. We found that, in general, codes of ethics are well regulated in companies and that discretion is still present, but not to the extent we expected.
Keywords:Ethics, code of ethics, discrimination, workplace, inequality.
