Diplomirane medicinske sestre s pomočjo dobre negovalne anamneze nosečnic in z dokazi podprto zdravstveno nego ugotavljajo pojavnost in pogostost kajenja pri njih.

Title:Pregnancy and smoking
Abstract:Nurse performs a health-educational role, especially with pregnant women, where it is important to introduce them to a healthy lifestyle and the problems that an unhealthy lifestyle brings. Smoking is the cause of a wide range of diseases that arise because of a conscious vice. Smoking causes addiction, serious illnesses and has a harmful effect on the fetus during pregnancy. We used quantitative survey research methods and a descriptive work method in the process. The data were collected with a questionnaire, which had been distributed to the patients via website 1ka. We used descriptive statistics when analysing data. In our research, it has been established that 162 pregnant women respondents (52%) are smokers, 96,1% of respondents are aware of the harmful effects of smoking, but despite this, 62% do not stop smoking during pregnancy. We also found that most pregnant women who smoke, try to reduce their tobacco intake during pregnancy, compared to the number of cigarettes smoked before pregnancy. With the help of a good nursing anamnesis of pregnant women and evidence-based nursing, graduated nurses determine the incidence and frequency of smoking among them. They educate pregnant women about a healthy lifestyle, the harmful effects of smoking on the fetus, and advise them to stop smoking during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
