Abstract:Diplomsko delo z naslovom Prisotnost IKT v predšolskem obdobju in vpliv na socialni razvoj otrok sestavljata teoretični in empirični del. V empiričnem delu smo izvedli raziskavo o uporabi digitalne tehnologije v predšolskem obdobju in njenem vplivu na otroka, v kateri so sodelovali starši predšolskih otrok.

Title:The presence of ICT in the preschool period and the impact on the children's social development
Abstract:The diploma thesis, entitled The presence of ICT in the preschool period and the impact on the children's social development, consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. In the theoretical part, we summarized the current findings from the relevant professional literature regarding digital technology, its role in the modern life of a child, the characteristics and peculiarities of the social development of preschool children, and the impact of digital technology on them. Beside this, the role of parents and educators was also presented. In the empirical part, we conducted a research on the use of digital technology in the preschool period and its impact on the child, in which parents of preschool children participated. We collected the data using an online questionnaire. After the end of the survey, we processed the data with the SPSS statistical program and interpreted the results. We found that the use of digital technology in the preschool period does not leave visible negative consequences in social development, although the use of digital technology is quite often present in a child's everyday life.
