Abstract:
V našem diplomskem delu smo analizirali postopen premik kitajskega gospodarstva od planskega zaprtega gospodarstva v odprto gospodarstvo. Ugotovili smo, da je enega glavnih mejnikov liberalizacije predstavljal vstop v WTO. Empirične študije liberalizacije kitajskega gospodarstva so si precej enotne, saj kot enega ključnih dejavnikov za hitro gospodarsko rast Kitajske navajajo povečano sodelovanje v mednarodni trgovini. S prevzemom liberalne trgovinske politike je kitajsko gospodarstvo postalo podvrženo zunanjim tveganjem. V našem delu smo analizirali nekaj ključnih zunanjetrgovinskih dejavnikov, kot so devizni tečaj, efektivni devizni tečaj, mednarodni odnosi, splošna gospodarska rast in pogoji menjave. Ugotovili smo, da izvoz Kitajske ni pomemben le za domače gospodarstvo, temveč za celoten mednarodni trg, saj je Kitajska v zadnjem desetletju postala temeljni člen mednarodnega povezovanja.

Title:
Analysis and determinants of foreign trade flows in China
Abstract:
In our thesis, we analyzed the gradual shift of the Chinese economy from a planned closed economy to an open economy. We found out that one of the main milestones of liberalization was entry into the WTO. Empirical studies about the liberalization of the Chinese economy are quite unanimous, citing that increased participation in international trade is one of the key factors for China's rapid economic growth. By adopting the liberal trade policy, the Chinese economy has become exposed to external risks. We analyzed a couple of key determinants of foreign trade flows, such as the exchange rate, effective exchange rate, international relations, general economic growth, and terms of exchange. We found that China's exports are not only important for the domestic economy but the entire international market, as China has become a fundamental element of international integration in the last decade.
