Abstract:
Metode: V namen priprave zaključnega dela smo izvedli pregled, analizo in sintezo znanstvene literature s področja povezave med možgansko kapjo in zniževanjem povišanega krvnega tlaka.

Title:
The effect of lowering high blood pressure in the occurrence of stroke
Abstract:
Introduction: Stroke is one of the most common brain diseases, which is one of the main causes of death or disability in Slovenia and around the world. One of the most important risk factors is hypertension, which can be controlled or treated in several ways. The purpose of the final work is to investigate the connection between stroke and lowering high blood pressure. Methods: In order to prepare the final work, we performed a review, analysis and synthesis of scientific literature in the field of the connection between stroke and lowering high blood pressure. We searched the literature based on our research question, followed the PRISMA guidelines, and critically evaluated the results with the Joanna Brihggs Institutes (JBI) assessment tool. Results: 7 studies were included in the results. Research has found that lowering high blood pressure significantly helps prevent stroke. Prevention is important, and in the case of a stroke, regulating blood pressure is important to reduce the chance of a stroke again. Lowering blood pressure in the acute phase of a stroke can help reduce the consequences of a stroke. Discussion and conclusion: The field of stroke is very broad, much remains unexplored. In our research, we focused on the connections or the importance of lowering blood pressure for stroke. This area also needs a lot of research, as research to date has shown that lowering blood pressure can prevent a recurrence of stroke while helping to prevent other diseases.
