Abstract:
Metode: Za zaključno delo smo izvedli sistematičen pregled literature in uporabili metodo kompilacije. Gradivo smo iskali v mednarodnih podatkovnih bazah (PubMed, Cinahl, Web of Science) in potek iskanja prikazali v prizemskem diagramu. Prav tako smo določili nivoje dokazov pridobljenim člankom. Izvedeni sta bili kritična in tematska analiza. Najpogosteje izpostavljene so predvsem težave s prehranjevanjem.

Title:
Quality of life of patients with esophageal cancer after esophageal resection
Abstract:
Introduction: Esophageal cancer is one of the malignant tumors with the worst prognosis. Esophageal resection is the most common form of treatment and has an impact on the quality of life in all aspects of the patient's life. The purpose of the final work is to investigate the quality of life of a patient with esophageal cancer after esophageal resection. Methods: For the final work we performed a systematic review of the literature and used the compilation method. We searched for the material in international databases (PubMed, Cinahl, Web of Science) and showed the course of the search in a prism diagram. We also determined the levels of evidence obtained by the articles. Critical and thematic analysis was performed. Results: 9 studies were included in the final review. We find that the quality of life is deteriorating in all segments of health. After esophageal resection, the patient's physical, emotional and social problems appear, accompanied by symptoms such asnausea and vomiting, dyspnea, loss of appetite, dysphagia, eating problems, reflux, choking on swallowing and coughing problems that can last for a long time also up to 1 year or more after esophageal resection. Eating problems are the most common. Discussion and conclusion: The quality of life of a patient with esophageal cancer after esophageal resection is poor due to the appearance of problems that prevent normal daily life and the ability to eat independently after surgery. An important role here is played by the nurse, who through interventions and education, as well as support, helps the patient to improve the problems during recovery after the procedure and consequently to improve the quality of life.
