Abstract:
Živimo v času hitrih in intenzivnih sprememb, ki močno narekujejo naše dojemanje in odzivnost v sodobnem okolju. Današnjo družbo definirajo predvsem vedno nove informacije in naraščajoča komunikacijsko-informacijska tehnologija, ki povzroča vedno večjo nujo po vsesplošni pripadnosti toku dogajanja. Družabna omrežja predstavljajo komunikacijske pripomočke ali orodja, s pomočjo katerih lahko posameznik oblikuje in izraža svoja stališča, se poveže s podobno mislečimi pripadniki družbe in usmerja oziroma vpliva na ostale. Vendar v danem okolju zaradi velike nasičenosti informacij zaznavamo predvsem dezinformacijsko vlogo vsebine, ki lahko usmerja posameznikov potencialni razvoj v napačno smer. V svojem delu želimo, preko zaznanih potreb v sodobnem okolju, opredeliti posameznikov razvoj lastne identitete in ustvarjalnosti, ki narekujeta inovativnost sodobnega družbenega okolja. Skozi podrobno analizo sodobne, digitalno usmerjene družbe smo se usmerili predvsem na delovanje start-up organizacije Actimatch, ki so jo razvili slovenski študentje, ki želijo sodobni družbi poenostaviti iskanje in izbiro optimalnih poznanstev preko platforme za spoznavanje ljudi.

Title:
Social media effects on self- actualization: An analysis of Actimatch applications
Abstract:
We live in the times of rapid and intense changes that can dictate our perception and responsiveness in the modern environment. Today's society is defined above all by new and growing information shared using communications technology that reinforces the growing need for universal belonging to the flow of events. Social Media are communication aids or tools that help people to design and express their views, to connect with like-minded members of society and direct and influence others. However, in a given environment with a high saturation of information, we perceive primarily the misinformation role of content, which can misguide individuals' potential development. In our work, we will define the individual’s identity and creativity development through perceived needs in the modern society that dictate the innovation environment. Through a detailed analysis of modern, digitally oriented society, we will explain the operation of the start-up organization Actimatch, developed by Slovenian students who want to simplify society’s search for new acquaintances through a platform for meeting people and interact in the real world.
