Abstract:
Izbrano mednarodno logistično podjetje je vodilni svetovni ponudnik logističnih storitev, ki podpira industrijo in trgovino v globalni izmenjavi blaga s pomočjo cestnega, zračnega in pomorskega tovornega prometa. V diplomskem delu je poudarek na skladiščnih procesih v enem izmed logističnih centrov v Sloveniji. Pri skladiščenju na izbrani lokaciji se podjetje srečuje z določenimi izzivi. Prenovo skladišča, ki je bila posledica prihoda novega pogodbenega partnerja, smo v podjetju izkoristili za izboljšavo procesov skladiščnega poslovanja. V okviru diplomskega dela so predstavljeni osnovni skladiščni procesi in opis dejanskega stanja s kritično analizo skladiščnih procesov. V nadaljevanju so predstavljeni predlogi izboljšav po prenovi skladišča in analiza učinkovitosti predlaganih izboljšav.

Title:
Improvement of warehouse operations in an international logistics company
Abstract:
The selected international logistics company is the world leading provider of logistics services, supporting industry and trade in the global exchange of goods through road, air, and sea freight. In diploma thesis we focus on warehousing processes in one of the logistics centres in Slovenia. When storing at a selected location, the company faces certain challenges. We used the renovation of the warehouse, which was the result of the arrival of a new contractual partner, to improve the processes of warehousing operations. The diploma thesis presents the basic storage processes and a description of the actual situation with a critical analysis of storage processes. In the following, there are suggestions for improvements after the renovation of the warehouse and an analysis of the effectiveness of the proposed improvements.
