Abstract:Naravne in druge nesreče so dogodki, ki jih povzročijo nenadzorovane naravne ali druge sile. Tovrstni dogodki ogrožajo ljudi in živali ter povzročajo škodo na kulturni dediščini, premoženju in okolju. Za namen nadzorovanja in obvladovanja nesreč so v sistemu varovanja pred naravnimi in drugimi nesrečami vzpostavljeni posebni ukrepi, sile in sredstva. V Republiki Sloveniji je za namen zagotavljanja varnosti prebivalstva vzpostavljen sistem varstva pred naravnimi in drugimi nesrečami. Sistem določa, katere so preventivne, zaščitne in reševalne ter sanacijske in druge dejavnosti, ki kot celota pripomorejo k zagotavljanju varnosti prebivalstva. Slovenska Obalna regija se sooča z raznimi vrstami naravnih in drugih nesreč. Požari v naravnem okolju predstavljajo na tem območju veliko nevarnost zaradi ugodnih pogojev za nastanek. Ker je požare v naravnem okolju nemogoče napovedati, je sistem še toliko bolj odvisen od pripravljenosti sil za zaščito, reševanje in pomoč, ki imajo glavno vlogo pri zagotavljanju zaščite, reševanja in pomoči ob naravni ali drugi nesreči. Za uspešno izvajanje nalog zaščite, reševanja in pomoči je na območju Obalne regije potrebno sodelovanje več pristojnih organov in služb. Sodelovanje je tako medorganizacijsko kot tudi medobčinsko. Požarna preventiva je ravno tako pomembna kot kurativa, zato se na območju Obalne regije izvajajo razni prostorski, gradbeni, tehnični in drugi ukrepi, ki pripomorejo k varovanju naravnega okolja pred požari.

Title:Wildfire protection in the Slovenian coastal region
Abstract:Natural and other disasters are events caused by uncontrolled natural or other forces. Such events endanger people and animals and cause damage to cultural heritage, properties and the environment. Special measures, forces and resources are established in the system of protection against natural and other disasters for the purpose of controlling and managing disasters. Republic of Slovenia has established a system of protection against natural and other disasters for ensuring the safety of the population. The system determines the preventive, protective, rescue, rehabilitation and other activities that, as a whole, help to ensure the safety of the population. The Slovenian Coastal Region is facing various types of natural and other disasters. Wildfires pose a great danger in this area due to favourable conditions for their occurrence. As wildfires are impossible to predict, the system is even more dependent on the readiness of protection, rescue and relief forces, which play a major role in providing protection, rescue and assistance in the event of a natural or other disaster. The successful implementation of protection, rescue and assistance tasks in the Coastal Region requires the cooperation of several competent authorities and services. Cooperation is both inter-organizational and inter-municipal. Fire prevention measures are just as important as curative measures, so various spatial, construction, technical and other measures are crucial to help protect the natural environment of the Coastal region from fires.
