Title:New tourism: traveling whit pets or potsitting in pet hotel?
Abstract:The fact is that animals have always been an important segment in human life, which humans exploit in different ways and also form different relationships with them, which are constantly changing. People are divided over which animal can sleep in bed, which one fits on a plate, which one is used for food products or entertainment and which one is suitable to accompany us on a trip. To resolve this issue of animal perception we explain the differences regarding animals with the help of professional sources, based on various factors in the thesis. Certain animals represent a tourist attraction and in tourism there is often exploitation, unnecessary torture, injuries and even deaths of animals. To avoid any inconvenience, we present ethical and inappropriate practices in tourism related to animals, with the emphasis on the movement of pets together with their owner-tourist. We checked what problems pet owners face in the case of traveling with them and applied the research to the Slovenian environment. The thesis offers an insight into the perception of travel with pets and opinions on the services of hotels for pets in Slovenia.
