Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava analizo ustreznosti in zmogljivosti hidrantnega omrežja v občini Grad.

Title:Fire hydrant network analysis in municipality of Grad
Abstract:The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the adequacy and capacity of the hydrant network in the municipality of Grad. At the beginning of the diploma thesis, the waterworks company Vodovod sistema B Ltd. is described. In addition, the legislation in the Republic of Slovenia, the fire hazard to the natural environment and the supply of drinking water are also presented. The following sections describe hydrant networks and compare Slovenian hydrant networks with networks in other countries. The measured data from the field was compared with the calculated quantities from the mathematical model. The analysis was performed using open source software EPANET for the development of a hydraulic model and with the help of the QGIS program for the development of geographic information systems (GIS). An online survey was also conducted and a comparison of the hydrant network usability by the fire brigades or professional units was presented.
