Abstract:V magistrski nalogi je obravanavano mikromehansko modeliranje duktilnega loma z uporabo Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman mikromehanskega poškodbenega materialnega modela (GTN), z namenom ugotavljanja primernosti tega modela za numerično določanje lomnomehanskih lastnosti obravnavanega materiala, na podlagi SE(B)-preizkušancev.

Title:Simulation of ductile fracture using GTN micromechanical damage model
Abstract:The subject of this masters thesis concerns micromechanical modeling of ductile fracture using the Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman micromechanical material damage model (GTN), with the intent of determining the validity of it's use for numerical determination of fracture-mechanical properties of the studied material, based on SE(B) specimens. Along with the micro-mechanisms of ductile fracture, a brief overview of the historical developement of the GTN mo-del and it's evolution the more modern Complete Gurson model – CGM is presented, through which it's mathematical construction and functioning are shown in a simplified manner. Cali-bration of the CGM model was performed using parametric numerical simulations and was based on exsperimental results of standard and nonstandard tensile specimens. Finally, the construction of the numerical model of the studied SE(B) specimens (with the implementation of the calibrated CGM model) is presented, followed by the results of the numerical simulation. Based on the numerical results, the numerical model demonstrated to be adequate for numeri-cal determination of fracture-mechanical properties of the studied material, based on SE(B) specimens.
