Abstract:
V diplomski nalogi primerjamo programska jezika R in Python za namene strojnega učenja. Najprej razložimo, kaj je strojno učenje, nato opišemo algoritme, ki smo jih uporabili pri praktičnih primerih, ter predstavimo programska jezika R in Python. V nadaljevanju diplomskega dela na treh različnih primerih prikažemo delovanje obeh programskih jezikov. Nalogo zaključimo s primerjavo programskih jezikov na podlagi pridobljenih rezultatov in ugotovitev iz praktičnega dela.

Title:
Comparison of Python and R programming languages for machine learning purposes
Abstract:
In this thesis we compare programming languages R and Python for the purposes of machine learning. It opens with an explanation of what machine learning is, which is followed by a description of the algorithms used in practical examples, and an introduction to R and Python. We demonstrate the use of the two programming languages on three different examples, concluding with a comparison of R and Python based on the results and findings yielded by practical work.
