V teoretičnem delu smo opredelili značilnosti plesa, giba, gibanja in didaktičnih iger. V empiričnem delu smo raziskovali, kako didaktične igre vplivajo na razvoj gibalno-plesnih sposobnosti predšolskih otrok. Namen raziskave je bil pripraviti sklop didaktičnih iger z naslovom Čarobni gozd, s področja plesne vzgoje, in jih izvajati z otroki v šestih srečanjih.

Title:Didactic Games as a Tool for Developing Preschoolers' Movement and Dance Skills
Abstract:The diploma thesis with the title Didactic Games as a Tool for Developing Preschoolers’ Movement and Dance Skills consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The characteristics of dance, move, movement and didactic games are defined in the theoretical part. The empirical part focuses on researching how didactic games influence the development of movement and dance skills of preschoolers. A set of didactic games titled Enchanted Forest from the field of dance education was prepared for the purpose of the research and carried out with children in six lessons. The research sample consists of eight children aged from four to six years, who attend the preschool Krojaček Hlaček in Prevalje. The purpose of the thesis was to find out whether children’s movement and dance skills improve with repeated execution of a certain set of movement patterns. Based on observation sheets, progress in the sense of balance and space orientation was discovered. Progress was also noted when jumping from one leg to the other, sensing stressed and unstressed beats, in the harmony of the left and right body part, in movement memory and executing different ways of walking.
