Title:Razvoj uspješnog periodičnog događanja: studija slučaja Adventa u Zagrebu

Abstract:Događanja su jedan od ključnih pokretača razvoja turizma na destinaciji. Također, Advent ili Božićni sajam, zadnjih se godina prikazuje kao vrsta događanja, koja predstavlja sve veći značaj za turističku destinaciju. Advent u Zagrebu, posebno je uspješno događanje, što dokazuje činjenica da je tri puta zaredom dobio nagradu za najbolji Božićni sajam u Europi. U teorijskom dijelu završnog rada pojašnjene su tematike: značenje događanja za turizam, povijest događanja, vrsta događanja, Advent ili Božićni sajam kao događanje i faktor koji utječu na uspješnost događanja. Na temelju teorijskih spoznaja, oblikovali smo empirijski dio istraživanja. Na početku empirijskog dijela rada, predstavili smo povijesni prikaz razvoja Adventa u Zagrebu te smo se najviše usredotočili na posljednjih deset godina. Zatim smo proveli intervjue s predstavnicom Turističke zajednice grada Zagreba i organizatorima manjih događanja u sklopu Adventa u Zagrebu. Pomoću navedenih intervjua, otkrili smo koji su faktori utjecali na uspjeh Adventa u Zagrebu. Rezultati ovog istraživanja pokazuju da se Advent u Zagrebu svake godine razvija sadržajno i prostorno te da se neprestano podiže kvaliteta događanja. Također, kao neki od glavnih faktora uspješnosti Adventa u Zagrebu, naglašeni su: izgradnja branda, snažna promocija, bogat i kvalitetan sadržaj, unikatnost, suradnja i potpora partnera, dobra organizacija i kreativna ideja.

Title:The development of successful periodic event: case study of the Advent in Zagreb
Abstract:Events are one of the key drivers of tourism development in the destination. The event that is becoming increasingly important for a tourist destination is Advent or Christmas Fair, which has been introduced as a type of event in recent years. Advent in Zagreb is a particularly successful event, as evidenced by the fact that it has won the award for the best Christmas fair in Europe three times in a row. In the theoretical part of the final paper, the following topics are elaborated: the meaning of events for tourism, history of events, type of events, Advent or Christmas Fair as an event and a factor influencing the success of the event. Based on theoretical knowledge, we designed the empirical part of the research. At the beginning of the empirical part of the paper, we presented a historical overview of the development of Advent in Zagreb, and we focused mostly on the last ten years. Subsequently, we conducted interviews with a representative of the Zagreb Tourist Board and the organisers of smaller events as parts of Advent in Zagreb. With the help of these interviews, we discovered what factors influenced the success of Advent in Zagreb. The results of this research show that Advent in Zagreb develops every year in terms of content and space, proving the quality of events is continually improving. Therefore, we emphasised some of the main factors of Advent's success in Zagreb, such as brand building, effective promotion, rife and quality content, uniqueness, cooperation and support of partners, good organisation and creative idea.
